Prayer
Begging for scraps and a coin
I haven’t eaten since yesterday
I could survive another day or two
It won’t be the first time

I see you
When I can’t remember your exact words,
And search through the day,
Fishing for details,
It’s a neat game we’re playing,
Hide and seek with parts of me..

Colors
Somewhere deep inside
a feeling, I imagined,
It could be different
Colors were absent but, they existed..

Innocence
I remember
A long time ago
Before work and socializing
Before college and sports
Before chasing after girls
Before books and ideas
Before my body and mind split
Before goals and purpose

Confession
My poetry is not all sunshine and rainbows
It’s torrential downpours
With lightning strikes
And uprooted trees
Tornadoes ripping through neighborhoods

Too Many Words
‘The answers are all within you’
‘Learn to trust’
‘When you stop looking, you find’
A barrage of good ideas,
Totally uncalled for,
Is a rather funny thing..

Time of Men
Virtue, only for signalling
Work only to sell
Everyone is victim or predator
And "they" are always the problem
Stress is to be managed
Injuries just bandaged over
Knowledge must be patented
Healers hung on crosses

Heal the Earth
I was hit by cosmic powers
Entities that wanted to take my place
I took my time
And I tamed them all
I dance with the sun
The moon worships me
I have secrets in my core
That you will never know

Word is Medicine
Visible only
to a handful
of dreamers,
those couragous beings,
who despite their fears,
leave the door unlocked,
keep the flowers watered,
and the table set.

More Poetry Please
In every moment,
To live the moment,
At times conversing with spirits,
Then writing some code,
Then helping someone through a crisis,
To making big bold plans,
To missing a meal,
Then inviting a friend to dinner.
